...it's a common enough phrase, one many of us have
heard often when we're being seated at a restaurant or entering someone's office.
It's a phrase that welcomes people and let's them know their presence is valued.
For some people, however this is not a common experience. Barriers in the environment,
in language and all too frequently barriers in attitude and behaviour prevent
people who are Deaf and people with disabilities from participating fully. At
Right This Way Access Consulting, we recognize society's excessive reliance
on technology to create equality. We focus our attention instead on the human
